The Office of the Controller of Examinations conducts all Semester Examinations. The marks of the Continuous Assessment Tests are submitted to this office by all departments at the end of each semester. The aggregate marks of both the Continuous Assessment and the Semester Examinations are announced every semester. Inquiries regarding Continuous Assessment are made with the respective Departments, and Semester Examinations with the Controller's Office.
Usually the Semester Examination results are published in the first/second week of May for all the Semesters and in the first/second week of December for the odd semesters. The exact dates will be put up on the Notice Board. Students are invited to submit requests for any corrections to be made, in the prescribed form. These results, termed raw results, are published on the website.
All the students are required to sign the Continuous Assessment Mark sheets. Requests for correction in C.A. marks after the date for signing will not be entertained.
Applications for the Semester Examinations are distributed through the departments. After paying the prescribed fees at the College Bank, students should submit the same in the COE's office on or before the prescribed date. Applications submitted after the due date will not be accepted.
A student has to get through his/her papers in arrears within maximum of three years from the end of his/her course. If a student does not pass the course within those three years he/she should write a paper which is certified by the HOD of the concerned Dept. as equivalent to the paper in arrears, and should take it as a special paper only during the even semester examinations.
Examinations for improvement will be allowed only in Semester papers. Examination for Improvement should be taken up on the next first chance when the paper is offered.
Mark sheets for Semesters I to V will be distributed to the Parents on a notified date, within three weeks from the publication of results, in the departments, on prior intimation of the date for the same. For Semester VI, the mark sheets will be distributed to the students within three weeks from the publication of results in the COE's office.
Certificates of consolidated marks will be issued to students who have successfully completed all their papers, usually in the first week of July every year. However, students who need Course Completion Certificates, before getting the Provisional Certificates from the University, may apply to the Controller's Office and get the same the following day.Parents and Students are welcome to meet the Controller of Examinations for any clarification or grievance.
